About the Role
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Specialist, Regenerative Country applies professional standards and procedures to provide technical expertise and support for monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) across projects, programs and strategic outcomes of the Regenerative Country pillar. As part of WWF-Australia's dedicated team of MEL specialists, the role supports continuous improvement of WWF-Australia's practices to align with WWF's standards, donor requirements and professional best practice. The role proactively supports the Regenerative Country team, driving a strong culture of MEL across the organisation and ensuring data led insights support strategic learning.
Key Accountabilities (Refer to Position Description for full list of Key Accountabilities)
- Work collaboratively to ensure effective implementation of monitoring, evaluation and reporting requirements that may include coordinating multistakeholder activity components.
- Applies technical expertise to support staff and partners in developing a range of MEL outputs including impact measurement frameworks, theories of change, learning and reflection logs and significant stories of change to strengthen integration, impact, inclusion and strategic learning.
- Leads engagement to advance and standardise measurement and reporting by engaging WWF's Conservation Impact Platform for timely and accurate data collection and reporting on Regenerative Country programs and key performance indicators and strategic outcomes.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience (Refer to Position Description for full list of Selection Criteria)
- Demonstrated professional experience and expertise in established and developmental monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) approaches to deliver positive outcomes across programs and strategy.
- Demonstrated understanding of conservation issues, including key threats and relevant policy frameworks.
- Track record of championing knowledge management and innovative technology platforms to support learning and insights, with an awareness of systems-change approaches to drive improvements in practice and process (E.g. Training, partner engagement and other forms of knowledge exchange).
