About the Role
The Senior Core Technology Infrastructure Lead is accountable for developing, owning and delivering WWF Australia’s Core Technology domain infrastructure roadmap and operating within the enterprise technology and AI strategy and guardrails set by the CEO. The role ensures the organisation’s core technology infrastructure foundations are secure, resilient, cost effective, and future fit.
Key Accountabilities (Refer to Position Description for the full list of Key Accountabilities)
Core Technology Infrastructure: End to end accountability
Driving AI Integration within Core Technology infrastructure
Leadership, Coaching & Team Enablement: Manages a team of 3 staff
Cyber and other Security Risks: Acts as the hands-on owner of technology infrastructure cyber and other security risk
Operational Reliability and Resilience: Ensures WWF’s core technology infrastructure is stable, predictable, and trusted.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience (Refer to Position Description for full list of Selection Criteria)
A proven track record in leading and operating modern core technology infrastructure capabilities with demonstrable evidence that well‑designed technology infrastructure enables organisational effectiveness and impact.
Strong capability in embedding or experimenting with AI and automation within core technology infrastructure. Extensive hands‑on expertise in designing, integrating, and managing hybrid technology environments, including cloud platforms (e.g. Azure/AWS), identity and access management, Microsoft 365, collaboration and knowledge platforms, networks, devices, data, and storage.
Experience in leading and managing cyber security risk in organisations, applying a risk‑based approach. Experience in implementing systems for incident detection, response, recovery, and vulnerability management.
